The Scottish Manual handling pasSport SCHEME (VERSION3)
The SMHPS provides a national framework to reduce manual handling risks across health and social care in Scotland, by setting out required organisational systems, including modular training and competency standards. The guidance supports safe practice, wellbeing and consistent, person centred care.
Following consultation, the SMHPS Review Group has updated the Scottish Manual Handling Passport Scheme document with your comments and suggestions. In addition, the group tried to make it more user friendly and easier to read. Version 3 has now been approved and was published by Scottish Government.
