SCOTTISH MANUAL HANDLING FORUM STUDY DAY

****Date For Your Diary****

22nd of May 2025, Golden Jubille, Clydebank

Due to the absolutely fantastic growth of our events we struggle for affordable venues that can accommodate us. So we have booked Golden Jubilee for a one day event for the first time. I hope you’ll agree it’s a great venue & worth travelling west again for.

We have checked out a few possible new venues in the East & a little further North & we think we have a good alternative for 2027 but with just 9 months until our event we went with Jubilee this time.

The Scottish Manual Handling Passport Scheme has been produced to help employers, managers, manual handling practitioners and employees reduce the risk of injury from manual handling.

Associates of the National Back Exchange

In 2007 those in attendance at the Scottish Manual Handling Forum (SMHF) meeting voted in a large majority to proceed with becoming an associated local branch of the National Back Exchange (NBE). Since then members of the Core Group have worked to achieve the various requirements of such affiliation – constitution, elected core group, audited financial accounts. As a result of these efforts the SMHF became associates of the NBE just before the NBE national conference in September 2008.
There are many benefits to this association, not least of which being access to a further community of experience and expertise – details of all the benefits of the NBE can be found at www.nationalbackexchange.org.uk
