The SMHPs Register

The purpose of the register is to allow organisations participating in the Scottish Manual Handling Passport Scheme (SMHPS) to indicate their compliance with the minimum standards required by the SMHPS (2014), available here.

The Register is managed by the SMHPS Monitor and Review Group and published on the Scottish Manual Handling Forum website. Organisations entered onto the Register will have provided a completed SMHPS audit, indicating compliance.  However, evidence supporting the audit will not have been verified by the SMHPS Monitor and Review Group.

The responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided in the audit is solely the submitting organisations and verification of such is the responsibility of, for example, an organisation accepting the passport as evidence of training.

Organisations entered on to the Register have agreed to provide a copy of their SMHPS audit when requested by interested parties.  Supporting evidence may also be requested if required. Requests should be made directly to the ‘Contact Person’ detailed on the current Register.

To view the current Register of participating Organisations open the SMHP register icon at the top of this page.

The Register of organisations participating in the SMHPS will be updated regularly and registration will be valid for three years.
